Eco minded Captains(

Are you the inspirational, conservation, health, and sustainability-minded skipper who can shine the ocean nomads values on our trips as well independently host an ON trip?

We are looking to expand our trips and, therefore, expand our skipper database globally.

We are currently selecting our skippers for our next flotilla in Greece, as well as skippers for future independent trips. 

ABOUT

Ocean Nomads is a global network that connects impact-driven ocean travellers, explorers, and nomadic lifestyle designers with like-minded individuals, vessels, projects, and environmental initiatives to realize their sailboat adventure and live a nomadic, ocean-conscious lifestyle.

We facilitate ocean connection through trips, membership community, and a brand new course.

Ocean Nomads events and expeditions connect people to each other and to the ocean. The goal of ON Events & Expeditions is to connect people with the natural world, build relationships with other impact-driven salty souls, build skills, and facilitate knowledge-sharing to learn from each other. We share  our dreams and journeys and collaborate on projects for positive change. We live up to the Ocean Nomads slow sailing philosophy. We strive to have an onboard environment that inspires adventure and play, with a strong emphasis on health, skill building, simplicity, teamwork and local & environmental consciousness. 

Our skipper positions are not superyacht salaries but paid for. Your main drive should be contributing to the adventure, impact & community aspect. Once you are part of the ocean nomads network you don’t just skipper a trip for us and that’s it. You’ll be part of the global family of purpose-driven ocean adventure people supporting each other on our mission.  

– Our trips are vegetarian, smoke & alcohol-free. You have to support this.

– Our trips help others get into the ocean nomad lifestyle. The more – you live it, the more suitable you’ll be as a skipper.

– Our trips are rather spontaneous and take us to different places in the world only a few times per year. Therefore, they are not suitable for someone looking for full-time or seasonal work.

– We are most interested if you have your own inspiration project or mission going on that you could inspire others with.

– We’d love to hear if you can teach any other ocean sports or relevant skills and your confidence in teaching sailing.

– We love to hear about your personal ocean lifestyle aspirations, dreams, and goals and in what stage you are currently at. 

– We also welcome co-creations on your own vessel if you have one.

In summary, we are looking for those embodying the ocean nomads lifestyle vibes and values. When we cannot find a suitable skipper match in the ocean nomads network, we look into our database of skippers for which you can apply here.
